No Refund Policy — Perishable Goods
All flower sales are final. No refunds are issued on any flower orders. Cut flowers are living, perishable goods with no standard shelf life. They will naturally wilt and die — this is not a defect, it is the product.
Dahlias are a moment flower. They are at their peak for a brief window and decline naturally after that window passes. Typical dahlia vase life is 4–8 days depending on variety, temperature, and care. This is the nature of dahlias, not a quality issue.
If your bouquet has stems that were visibly damaged at the time of pickup, contact us within 4 hours of pickup with a photo. We will review on a case-by-case basis. Claims after 4 hours cannot be honored — flowers change rapidly once cut.
Subscription & Order Policy
Subscriptions are non-refundable once the season begins. When you purchase a subscription, you are reserving a harvest slot. We cut only what has been claimed — your slot represents a real commitment on our end.
To cancel before the season starts, email fieldandwild@gmail.com with the subject line "Cancel Subscription." You'll receive written confirmation within 2 business days. Per Massachusetts 940 CMR 38.00, cancellation is available through the same medium you used to sign up.
Missed pickups are not refunded or rescheduled. Pickup day is announced weekly on Instagram @field_and_wild — follow us and turn on notifications.
Specific flower varieties and colors cannot be guaranteed. Every bouquet reflects what is at peak bloom on the day of harvest.
Crop Failure & Force Majeure
field & wild is an outdoor farm subject to seasonal and environmental conditions. In the event a pickup must be cancelled or reduced due to crop failure, pest damage, disease, extreme weather, drought, flood, frost, or any condition beyond our reasonable control:
Affected subscribers will receive a credit toward a future pickup or an extension of their subscription term. Cash refunds are not issued for force majeure events. We will notify affected subscribers by email as soon as reasonably possible and will make every effort to supply alternative stems when a primary crop is unavailable.
This applies to all subscriptions, single bouquets, U-Pick, and event flower orders.
DIY Wedding & Event Flowers
Wedding and event orders are not finalized until availability is confirmed by email within 2 business days. Payment is not collected until confirmation.
Once confirmed and paid, orders are non-refundable within 30 days of your event date. Cancellations more than 30 days prior receive a 50% refund. Force majeure cancellations on our end are fully refunded.
Flower varieties and colors are seasonal and cannot be guaranteed. Final stems depend on actual harvest conditions on your event date.
Gift Subscriptions — Season Validity
Gift subscriptions are valid for the current growing season (April through October). If a gift subscription is purchased mid-season, the recipient uses the remaining weeks of that harvest. Any unused pickups carry over to the following season's harvest — no one loses their flowers.
Gift subscriptions are service contracts, not monetary gift certificates. Massachusetts gift card law (M.G.L. c. 200A §5D) does not apply to them. Their terms are governed by this policy, which is disclosed at the point of purchase per Massachusetts 940 CMR 38.00.
Gift subscriptions are non-transferable for cash. If the recipient is unable to use their subscription in the current or following season, please contact us at fieldandwild@gmail.com — we will do our best to find a fair resolution.
Gift Cards — Massachusetts Law
This section applies to monetary gift cards only — not to gift subscriptions. Per Massachusetts General Law Chapter 200A §5D, all field & wild gift cards (stored monetary value instruments redeemable toward any purchase) are valid for a minimum of 7 years from the date of issuance. The issuance date is included in the gift card confirmation email.
No dormancy, inactivity, or service fees are charged on any gift card. Gift cards are non-refundable for cash. If a gift card is 90% or more redeemed, the remaining balance may be requested as cash per Massachusetts law.
Sales Tax — Massachusetts
Massachusetts sales tax of 6.25% is included in all listed prices for physical products — cut flowers, dahlia tubers, bud vases, handwritten cards, gift wrap, and U-Pick experiences. Digital PDF guides are not subject to Massachusetts sales tax and are priced accordingly.
field & wild is registered as a Massachusetts vendor and remits collected sales tax quarterly to the MA Department of Revenue via MassTaxConnect.
Digital Products
PDF guides are delivered by email after purchase. Digital products are non-refundable once the download link has been sent. If you do not receive your guide within 24 hours, email fieldandwild@gmail.com and we will resend it.
The Bouquet Care Guide is included free with every physical order confirmation.
